    • Christiana United Methodist Church: Christiana UMC is having a Holiday Bazaar featuring home party vendors selling great holiday gifts.     • Naamans Little League: Naamans Little League is hosting a fundraiser at the Bowlerama on New Castle Avenue in New Castle on November 21 from 6:30pm to 9pm. The event is $25 per person and includes 2 hours of bowling, pizza, and drinks. There's also a raffle table. Every child must be accompanied by an adult.     • Wilmington Manor Volunteer Fire Company: The Wilmington Manor Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary is hosting a New York trip for $35 on Saturday, November 21. The bus leaves the fire station at the 13/40 split at 7:30am, and leaves New York at 7pm.     • Delaware Hospice: Delaware Hospice’s premier fundraiser, the Festival of Trees offers visitors a magnificent display of decorated trees and wreaths and activities for everyone in the family. In New Castle County, the Festival of Trees will be held Friday, November 20th, through Sunday, November 22nd at Cokesbury Village in Hockessin. Proceeds will help the only non-profit hospice in Delaware continue to provide the highest quality of care to families in the community.     • CHILD, Inc.: The 28th Annual Delaware Blue-White Senior Boys’ All-Star Soccer Game is November 24.     • AIDS Delaware: AIDS Delaware will remember those who are living with HIV/AIDS and those who have lost their battle with AIDS during the 2009 World AIDS Day Service - Candlelight Vigil. The Vigil will be on December 1 at 7:30pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1502 West 13th Street in Wilmington. As of 2006, over a half a million Americans lost their battle with AIDS, including 1,867 Delawareans.   • Faithful Friends: Faithful Friends, Inc. animal welfare agency and no kill shelter has formed a partnership with the Food Bank of Delaware to help families keep their pets during the financial crisis many families are facing today. They are asking for donations of pet food and related supplies. The supplies needed include: dry dog and cat food for adults, kittens/puppies and senior pets; canned cat and dog food; cat litter; dog chews and raw hides.   • Friends of the Wilmington Library: The Wilmington Institute Library asks for your support as The Friends of the Wilmington Library solicits donations of used books, DVDS, and CDs for which they provide a tax-deductible receipt. Funds from these sales are used to support library programs.   • Read Aloud Delaware: Read Aloud Delaware is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to the promotion of reading in Delaware. We place volunteers of all ages in child care centers, clinics and shelters to read one-on-one to children for 1-2 hours once a week. Our focus is primarily with preschool age children who are in their critical early years of development. Those children who reach their older years with weak basic skills are more likely to be involved in risk related activities such as teen parenthood, dropping out of school, and unemployment. However, by starting early and instilling a love of reading, therefore reduces these negative behaviors and promotes literacy.   • St. Francis Hospital: The St. Francis Hospital Neurodiagnostics/Sleep Center is offering a free CPAP mask clinic every Wednesday. The clinic is held in the Center, which is located on the fifth floor of the DuPont Building at St. Francis Hospital, 7th and Clayton Streets, Wilmington. CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) is the most effective treatment for obstructive sleep apnea. Sleep apnea can occur when the tissue at the back of the throat collapses, and snoring ensues. The CPAP machine gently pushes room air through a mask at a prescribed pressure, which prevents the collapse. Proper fitting is imperative. If the mask does not fit properly, patients may not realize the benefits of better sleep and health. If your mask is uncomfortable, leaking or interfering with getting to sleep, please call the St. Francis Neurodiagnostics/Sleep Center at (302) 421-4500 for clinic times and availability.
