WSTW is proud to present Hometown Heroes, a weekly program spotlighting the best music from the Delaware Valley! Hosted by Mark Rogers, Hometown Heroes is broadcast every Sunday, 8-10pm. We play the music and provide information about where you can see these bands perform live, how to get their music, and how to contact them. We'll even bring some of them into the studio to perform live on the air.

Voting in the first round of the 9th Annual Hometown Heroes Homey Awards is now open!

The Homey Awards celebrate the best in local music for 2014. Click here to vote for your favorites in any or all of the categories. Voting is open through Wednesday, Feb. 4th at 11:59pm. One ballot per person.

If your favorite artist released new music in 2014 and isn't listed on the ballot, please feel free to add them in the write-in slots. Nominations are open to artists that released music in 2014 and submitted it to Hometown Heroes.

This round of voting will determine the final nominees for each category. The nominees will be announced on Hometown Heroes on Sunday, Feb. 8.

After that, the winner will be determined by the Homey Voting Panel, which is made up of previous Homey winners, members of the media and others involved in the local community and music scene.

The winners will be announced at the Homey Awards ceremony and concert on Friday, March 6 at World Cafe Live at the Queen. In addition to presentation of the Homey statuettes by a wide cast of presenters, the evening will also include live performances from some of last year's winners and this year's nominees. Details will be announced soon.

Thank you for supporting local, original music!
