WSTW is proud to present Hometown Heroes, a weekly program spotlighting the best music from the Delaware Valley! Hosted by Mark Rogers, Hometown Heroes is broadcast every Sunday, 8-10pm. We play the music and provide information about where you can see these bands perform live, how to get their music, and how to contact them. We'll even bring some of them into the studio to perform live on the air.

It's Homey Season! The Homey Awards celebrate the best in local music for 2014, as heard each week on Hometown Heroes.

Thanks to the thousands of people that voted in the first round of voting for the 9th Annual Hometown Heroes Homey Awards, the level of participation was fantastic! The musicians, WSTW and Hometown Heroes appreciate your support.

This round of voting was to determine the final nominees for each category. The final list nominees can be viewed by clicking here.

From here, the winners will be determined by the Homey Voting Panel, which is made up of previous Homey winners, members of the media and others involved in the local community and music scene.

The winners will be announced at the Homey Awards ceremony and concert on Friday, March 6 at World Cafe Live at the Queen - presented by Gable Music Ventures.

In addition to presentation of the Homey statuettes by a wide cast of local celebrities (or Delebrities), the evening will also include live performances from some of last year's winners, such as RKVC, Hot Breakfast, Kuf Knotz, Billy Penn Burger, and John Faye and Those Meddling Kids. Song of the Year nominees Alllie Carroll, JAS Nature, Minerva and Nik Everett will perform acoustic versions of their nominated songs.

For more information, click here. You can purchase tickets online at WorldCafeLive.com.

Hometown Heroes wants to give a big thanks to our sponsors. The nominees' tickets to the show have been paid for by Philly Sound Studios and The Mastering House. Ken-Del Studios and Accent Music have funded the Homey Award trophies that will be awarded to this year's winners.
