Ariana Grande is preparing to release the music video for Petal, the title track from her new album, on July 31. A newly released black-and-white teaser introduces Pepper, a character who enters a 1950s-style office and announces that she has arrived for an audition.
The preview follows an earlier clip showing Grande’s character discovering a newspaper advertisement for auditions at a major studio. Petal will arrive on the same day as the full video, adding a visual chapter to the singer’s latest project.
Grande has also announced a partnership between her Brighter Days Ahead Foundation and Backline, an organization supporting the mental health of music industry professionals. The collaboration will help fund B-LINE, a 24-hour mental health and crisis support service, along with direct assistance for touring personnel.
