Ayra Starr’s latest album, Starrgirl, has drawn a strong response from fans following its release. In a new music poll published by Billboard, the project finished comfortably in first place, receiving more than 87% of the total vote.
The result placed Starrgirl well ahead of the other releases included in the weekly poll and highlighted the early enthusiasm surrounding Starr’s new era. The 16-track album expands on her Afrobeats and pop sound while bringing together a wide group of collaborators.
Guest appearances on the project include Zayn, Leon Thomas, Wizkid, Rema, Kwn, Danny Ocean and Theodora. The lineup gives the album a broad international feel, reflecting Starr’s growing reach beyond the African music market.
