System of a Down is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Toxicity, the album that became one of the defining releases of the band’s career. As part of the anniversary campaign, the group has made the rare track Johnny available on streaming services for the first time.
The anniversary announcement also includes a new vinyl edition of Toxicity, giving longtime fans another way to revisit the 2001 record. Johnny had previously been harder to find, appearing on select international editions and as a B-side tied to the Chop Suey! single.
Released in September 2001, Toxicity helped push System of a Down into the mainstream. The album reached No. 1 on the U.S. album chart and featured songs including Chop Suey!, Toxicity, and Aerials.
