Sienna Spiro has reached a new career milestone with Great Expectation, which has climbed to No. 1 on the UK singles chart. The latest chart update confirms it is the 20-year-old London singer-songwriter’s first single to reach the top spot.
Billboard noted that the achievement makes Spiro the youngest British female artist to score a UK No. 1 since Becky Hill reached the summit in 2014 with Gecko (Overdrive), her collaboration with Oliver Heldens.
Great Expectation appears on Spiro’s debut album Visitor and has steadily gained ground since entering the UK Top 40 at No. 32 in July. It rose to No. 2 before completing its climb to the top, replacing Ella Langley’s Choosin’ Texas.
