While on tour in Europe, Jeff Tweedy took a quiet moment to share something personal with fans.
The Wilco frontman posted a stripped-down acoustic cover of “Love Takes Miles,” a song written by Cameron Winter, to his Substack newsletter, Starship Casual. He recorded the track in Paris and released it around Valentine’s Day, dedicating it to his wife, Susie Tweedy.
In his note to subscribers, Tweedy explained why the song hit home. He wrote that it feels “very true” about how love actually works. Not the flashy version. The real one. The kind that builds over time. “The real love takes a lot of miles, a lot of time,” he shared, describing the steady kind of partnership that grows stronger with experience.
