RAYE is expanding her creative work beyond music with a role in Lineage, a London-set crime drama from director Yann Demange. A new film announcement has listed the British singer and songwriter among the cast, marking her first scripted feature role.
The project centers on Tariq, a father trying to rebuild his life after prison while being pulled back toward London’s criminal world. The story also involves his brother and their mother, who is described as a powerful figure in that world.
The cast includes Isabelle Huppert, Dali Benssalah, and Adam Bessa. Production is expected to begin in London in early August.
