BTS announced the sale of a limited-edition screen printed illustration inspired by the visuals in their colorful “Dynamite” video on Tuesday (Apr. 27). The $65 vibrant image, created by image licensing studio Sideshow and designed by artist Tracie Ching, is available for pre-order now and is slated to ship in May and June.
The 18 x 24″ screenprint depicts RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook scattered across a light blue background with ribbons of color streaming all around them as they smile and give knowing looks. The image is printed on white pearlescent Stardream Smooth 2.0 paper by print shop The Half and Half, according to Sideshow, with 10 color inks and a clear gloss layer.
Each piece will be hand-numbered in pencil and the image will be available for a limited time and then never again, with the final edition size slated to be set after the limited order window closes on Sunday (May 2).
That was only the second-best knows ARMY got this week, coming just after the K-pop icons announced the May 21 release of their second English-language single, “Butter.” The song is described as “a dance pop track brimming with the smooth yet charismatic charm of BTS.”
