Any way you slice it, BTS is cooking up something sweet with their upcoming single “Butter.” The K-pop supergroup’s label Big Hit revealed two more concept clips on Tuesday (May 4).
This time around, Jin plays with a cluster of yellow smiley-faced balloons before setting them free while a consistent drum loop plays in the background of the 18-second teaser. That same drum loops soundtracks Suga fiddling with a camera while his shadows line up on a multi-colored wall.
Jungkook and RM starred in the first two concept clips on Monday, where the former spreads a pat of heart-shaped butter over a piece of toast and the latter taps his foot to a twinkling beat before shooting a cannon of confetti.
Big Hit revealed on April 28 that the group is buttering up the ARMY before releasing their second English-language single “Butter” on May 21 with a full promotion schedule including concept clips and teaser photos. The next set of concept clips will arrive on Wednesday, May 5, at 11 a.m. ET, which will most likely feature the remaining three members of BTS — J-Hope, V and Jimin. The stars described “Butter” in an earlier press release as “a dance pop track brimming with the smooth yet charismatic charm of BTS.”
“Butter” will be the follow-up to their first English-language single “Dynamite” in 2020, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
