Doja Cat and SZA were the second act to grace the stage at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, performing their collaborative single “Kiss Me More.”
The hitmaking duo brought color and sultriness to the stage, with planets and artful shapes dancing across the screen as the songstresses struck a pose in the foreground.
Doja was clad in a monochrome look and 1960s-inspired makeup. SZA sported golden yellow waves and a black barely there look, coordinated with Doja’s. While Doja and the background dancers — heads covered in orange orbs — performed a routine, SZA struck a pose a few steps up in the background.
“Kiss Me More” is holding steady at its No. 5 peak on the Billboard Hot 100. Doja is nominated for five BBMAs, this year’s third-highest total for a female artist, taking home the award for top R&B female artist. SZA is nominated for one award, top R&B female artist, which she won three years ago. Other performers for the night include AJR, Bad Bunny, Karol G, BTS, Duran Duran, Glass Animals, Sounds of Blackness featuring Ann Nesby, Alicia Keys, P!nk, twenty one pilots and The Weeknd.
