The Weeknd’s ‘Save Your Tears’ Tops Pop Airplay Chart Ahead of Ariana Grande Remix

The Weeknd's "Save Your Tears" hits No. 1 on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart (dated April 24). It's his fourth leader on the list, dating to his first in 2015.

The Weeknd‘s “Save Your Tears” hits No. 1 on Billboard‘s mainstream top 40 radio-based Pop Airplay chart (dated April 24).

The coronation occurs ahead of the release of the song’s remix with Ariana Grande, due Friday (April 23) at midnight ET.

“Tears” is The Weeknd’s fourth Pop Airplay leader and the second from his most recent studio album, After Hours, after “Blinding Lights” dominated for six nonconsecutive weeks between April and July 2020. During its run on Pop Airplay, “Lights” set the records for most total weeks on the chart (60), in the top 10 (39) and in the top five (29).

(After Hours lead single “Heartless” hit No. 5 on Pop Airplay, while, in between “Lights” and “Tears,” third single “In Your Eyes” reached No. 20.)

The Weeknd previously topped Pop Airplay with “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” (one week, May 2015) and “Can’t Feel My Face” (four weeks, August-September 2015), among his 11 top 10s on the tally.
