Taylor Swift's bench in Centennial Park has its plaque stolen

Green was the color of the grass where Taylor Swift used to read in Centennial Park, as the plaque honoring the pop superstar on the bench in Nashville, Tennessee, recognizes. Or, recognized.
The plaque honoring Swift on the bench in Music City's park has been pried off, according to WKRN. It is unclear when the plaque was stolen but it will be replaced.
The bench was installed by the city of Nashville when Swift returned to perform The Eras Tour there in May 2023. Swifties who visit the city have been known to take pictures on the bench.
The plaque was inscribed with a dedication that read, "For Taylor Swift. A bench for you to read on at Centennial Park. Welcome home, Nashville."
It is a nod to the line in Swift's folklore track "invisible string" that goes: "Green was the color of the grass/ where I used to read at Centennial Park/ I used to think I would meet somebody there."
The bench was placed near a willow tree that is also dedicated to Swift, as the first track on Swift's album evermore is titled "willow." The plaque on the tree reads, "Planted on May 4, 2023 in honor of Taylor Swift."

Ed Sheeran gets nostalgic in 'Old Phone' video

Ed Sheeran has released the nostalgic music video for his song “Old Phone.”
The clip begins with Ed explaining the inspiration behind the song and the idea for building the Old Phone Pub in Ipswich, Massachusetts. The video culminates with Ed performing a gig at the Old Phone Pub.
“I wanted fans to all come to this special first pop up Old Phone pub gig to all be there for the same reason, and emotionally connected,” Ed writes on Instagram. “I wanted everyone in that room to have felt the same feelings of nostalgia, longing, joy and sadness I had felt from going through my old phone.”
He adds, “I asked all of them to submit a video, a photo or a message from their old phone that meant a lot to them to get into the gig that night, and we all shared in a night of music, dancing, laughing and tears. It was really magical, maybe my favourite music video I’ve ever made.”
“Old Phone” follows the release of “Azizam.” Both songs will be featured on Ed’s upcoming album, Play, arriving Sept. 12.

'What Hurts the Most': How Backstreet Boys almost recorded a Rascal Flatts hit

Thursday night on Prime Video, Backstreet Boys and Rascal Flatts will team up to perform the country hit "What Hurts the Most" on the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards.
What most people don't know is that BSB almost recorded the breakup ballad themselves.
"When we were recording kind of our comeback album, Never Gone," Nick Carter remembers, "we were getting a lot of songs actually submitted to us, and that's when we got 'Incomplete,' and then we also remember the label was really adamant about a song for us to record, and it was called 'What Hurts the Most,' and we passed up on the song."
"The demo definitely didn't sound as good as it did with those guys or we wouldn't have passed on it," Nick adds.
"I think it ended up in the right hands," AJ McLean adds.
"No, it was meant to be," Nick agrees, "because we wouldn't be here performing with them ... But still, funny story."
The new version of "What Hurts the Most" appears on Rascal Flatts' new Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets album, which drops June 6.
You can tune in to see the live performance -- which is rumored to include more than just the duet -- on the 60th ACMs, which stream live at 8 p.m. ET tonight on Prime Video.

Gigi Perez on the 'subconscious' influences of 2000s pop on 'Sailor Song'

Gigi Perez's hit "Sailor Song" reached the top three on Billboard's Rock & Alternative Chart and now it's climbing several of the publication's pop charts. So what is it about "Sailor Song," which is sort of a folky, acoustic tune, that makes it sound at home next a song by Sabrina Carpenter and a song by, say, Linkin Park? Gigi says it's all about her upbringing.
"I think it's just based on what I grew up listening to," she tells ABC Audio. "I grew listening to a lot of 2000s pop. It's, like, always been my biggest category. Every year when I get the recap of what I've been listening to, 2000s pop is always the largest genre."
"But I always grew up listening to alternative and rock, and there's just so many different influences," she notes.
However, Gigi says that her pop-loving background seesm to come out in her music, even when she's not trying.
"I think there's like this through line of pop sentiments in the songwriting," she explains. "I have to imagine it's — in 'Sailor Song' itself — the pop sentiment and structure that I guess, subconsciously, happen."
Gigi's debut album, At the Beach, In Every Life, is out now. She's currently out on a headlining tour, but will also open for Hozier on several dates in July, August and September.
