Taylor gave it to Liam on Dec. 1, 2017, when both of them performed at London's Jingle Bell Ball concert. It reads, "Liam, Long time no see! I'm so excited for you, you're crushing it out there. I'm obsessed with [your song] 'Bedroom Floor.' It's so cool to see you from afar, I'm always cheering you on. Good luck tonight! Taylor." Liam gave it to an associate as a present after he received it. It's going on the block Dec. 2 via Omega Auctions in the U.K. and is expected to fetch anywhere between $6,500 and $13,000.

Sara Bareilles says she "did finally write someone a love song" — find out who it was

Sara Bareilles and Brandi Carlile are executive producers on a new Apple TV documentary called Come See Me in the Good Light, and they've also teamed up to record a duet for the project.
The documentary, which is now streaming, is about the late Colorado Poet Laureate Andrea Gibson and wife Megan Falley, who faced Gibson's incurable cancer diagnosis together. Gibson died in July of this year. While it sounds like an incredibly heavy topic, Sara tells Variety, "It's so funny. You watch this film and Andrea is ... hysterically funny, as is Meg. So you’re laughing a lot, and it’s just a joyful, life-affirming film that happens to be about cancer."
Sara was also given the words of an unfinished poem by Gibson to use for a song for the end credits; she then tapped Brandi to turn it into a duet."Salt Then Sour Then Sweet" is streaming now.
"Andrea didn’t want to leave people with some kind of broken-hearted, achy song. They wanted a love song for Meg, and so that’s what we wrote," Sara tells Variety.
In a video on Instagram describing her involvement in the project, Sara refers to her breakthrough hit by joking, "I finally did write someone a love song -- and it was Andrea Gibson."
The song has already been nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award.
Meanwhile, Sara tells Variety that she has a new record coming out early next year, which is about "pretty much about grief." "I’ve been going through a lot of loss these last few years," she explains. However, she notes that grief "cracks you open in this way that I think is really important and helpful, ultimately, if you can sort of endure what’s hard about it.”

Lewis Capaldi has released his new four-song Survive EP, comprised of the songs "Almost," "Survive," "Something in the Heavens" and "The Day That I Die." It's his first collection of new music since 2023. He writes on Instagram that "The Day That I Die" is "about the lowest I’ve felt in my life and truth be told it feels a bit weird putting it out there for people to hear but I’m honestly the proudest I’ve ever been about a song with this one." He adds that it's been "an absolute pleasure" to return to performing live and releasing new music.
Max McNown has surprised fans with a five-song EP called Both Sides of the Blade. The stripped-down collection was written and recorded during the time he released his 2024 EP, Willfully Blind. Stephen Sanchez, best known for his song "Until I Found You," is back with a new duo side project called Dress & Tie. It finds him teaming up with French singer/songwriter Devi for a three-song EP under the moniker Dress & Tie. Stephen says in a statement, "Dress & Tie was born out of love for one another and a shared pursuit of real love songs in a world full of failed attempts. These songs were written from a place of passion over pressure, telling our story alone."

Alex Warren announces Little Orphan Alex Live North American tour — with help from Jennifer Aniston

Alex Warren will be taking his "dead parent music" across North America next year in his first U.S. headlining arena tour, called Little Orphan Alex Live.
He announced the tour in a video in which he's in a courtroom presided over by Jennifer Aniston. He's being sued by a foul-mouthed Little Orphan Annie, who's trying to keep him from doing the tour. "That little b**** has been stealing my whole brand," complains Annie.
"I can't control the fact that my both my parents are dead," Alex argues. When Judge Jenn asks if he has any evidence to back up his defense, Max Greenfield walks through the courtroom doors.
"Annie is not an orphan. I'm her father," he says, as people in the courtroom gasp. "C'mon, Annie, cut the s***, I've been waiting in the car the whole time. I'm your ride home."
"If she's not actually an orphan, that means I can go on tour," Alex reasons. "Yeah, I guess, whatever," says Jennifer.
"You ruin everything!" Annie yells. "You just started a war."
The tour kicks off May 25 in Nashville and wraps July 15 at New York's Madison Square Garden.
Presale tickets go on sale Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. local time; you can sign up now on Alex's website. The general sale begins Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. local time. Verizon and Citi will also offer presales, starting Nov. 18.
A dollar from every ticket sold goes to Camp Kesem, which provides free camps and programs for kids with parents fighting cancer. Alex's dad died from cancer when Alex was 9; his mother died in 2021 from alcohol-related complications.

Watch Meghan Trainor fly over LA in new video for 'Still Don't Care'

Meghan Trainor is dancing — and flying — through life in the new video for her song "Still Don't Care."
The video begins with footage of Meghan hanging from a crane, high above an LA street, wearing a purple ballgown and a tiara. "I'm done. ... Hate it, hate it, hate it," she says as she's lowered to the ground, then gasps with relief when her feet touch down.
Then the actual video starts, which features Meghan dancing through the streets of Los Angeles, visiting landmarks like Rodeo Drive and The Grove and riding on top of a tourist bus, all while wearing a lavender bodysuit and white platform heels.
At the end, her bodysuit transforms into a ball gown and she magically soars up, up and up over the streets ... which is where we came in. Of course, this time we don't see the crane.
Meghan has shared Instagram Stories of footage fans have posted of themselves stumbling across her shooting the video while out and about in LA.
"Still Don't Care" is from Meghan's new album, Toy With Me, which comes out in April 2026.

The Jonas Brothers meet Scott Kelly -- and find out if he got the job

If you're chronically online, you may be aware of Scott Kelly: He's the guy whose resume was seen being reviewed during a Jonas Brothers concert. Thanks to Jimmy Fallon, Kelly and the JoBros finally came face to face, and we now know whether or not he got the job.
During Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas' concert Nov. 9 in Buffalo, New York, a TikTok user filmed someone in the audience looking at Kelly's resume on his phone and posted it with the caption, "Scott Kelly, your resume was being reviewed at a Jonas Brothers concert tonight. Good luck.”
The video went viral, racking up nearly 8 million views, and each of the JoBros commented on it. "Bro. Scott Kelly was there for me plenty of times. Hired," Joe wrote. Kevin added, "I'm one of Scott Kelly's references," while Nick joked that Kelly's "work ethic and critical thinking inspired me to write the line ‘red dress’ [in 'Burnin' Up.']”
Fallon tracked Kelly down and brought him on The Tonight Show Thursday to surprise JoBros, and he was finally able to tell his story: He'd never actually applied for a job. Kelly, who's ex-special forces, shared that Brandon, the guy who was looking at his resume, was another veteran with whom he'd been in the same infantry battalion in 2014.
Scott explained that Brandon is always looking to hire veteran talent because it can be "very challenging" to transition from military to civilian life. "He and I are gonna link up," Kelly added, noting that Brandon is going to be a guest on his podcast, where they'll discuss how veterans can help each other.
Kelly then admitted to JoBros, "I had never heard of you before this.” Now, of course, he's "a huge fanboy."

Music notes: Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and more

Taylor Swift has released a new line of Christmas merch, including ornaments modeled after the cleaning cart that brought her to the stage every night during the Eras Tour, the moss-covered piano she played onstage during the tour and the friendship bracelets that became a symbol of the tour. There's also holiday winter wear and items for each album, like a Tortured Poets Department stationery set and a The Life of a Showgirl candle.
Speaking of candles, Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons recently shared on the Table Manners podcast that when Taylor came to his home studio to finish her evermore album, she brought along a "killer" candle. "Her candle game was excellent," he said, noting Taylor "was the most phenomenal house guest."
Sabrina Carpenter received a slew of Grammy nods for her album Man's Best Friend, and now she's celebrating the album's latest achievement. She wrote on Instagram Thursday, "What in the world. Man’s Best Friend just went platinum. thank you for listening to this album. i love you guys so much."
Ariana Grande explained to Entertainment Tonight why she's reverted to a hair color closer to her natural brown for the Wicked: For Good press tour. "It's fun to play with the storytelling," she said. "With the first [Wicked] press tour, I wanted to celebrate Glinda in a more on-the-nose way, and be an extension of her and extend the time with her through clothes, through the blond and through everything. Now I can show up as the actress who played her and play into the darker tones of the movie."

Lady Gaga comments on Grammy-nominated albums: 'I forget this has been just one single year'

Lady Gaga hasn't directly commented on the seven Grammy nominations she received for her albums Mayhem and Harlequin on Nov. 7, but a new Instagram post Thursday she seems to have written in reaction to the recognition.
"MAYHEM is my personal chaos ... produced with a desire to embolden my own voice as a musician," she wrote. "I’ve spoken a lot about MAYHEM being a collection of gothic dreams and in a way Lady Gaga was my first one. She has always been an expression of my human reality. What does it sound like to feel like you’re drifting far away from yourself, what does it sound like to re-enter your body?"
"And Harlequin…it feels like much more than a year ago," Gaga continued, referring to the album inspired by her film Joker: Folie à Deux. "It’s an album about empowerment and refusing to be minimized or left out in the cold."
"These arrangements are my first new steps since Tony [Bennett] died," she continued. "I’m so proud of Harlequin and how it prepared me for the most incredible year of MAYHEM. Sometimes I forget this has been just one single year." Harlequin has been nominated for best traditional pop album.
Summing up, Gaga noted, "Somehow through my relationship and my deep love for my fans I really accepted that I can do it all as long as I am the one who is creating the storm instead of the one just standing in the center of it. ... I’ll be fine. Because it’s my dream and no one else’s. I’ll decide for myself how this ends."

Selena Gomez on playing live: 'I'm not going to say I would never again'

Selena Gomez hasn't stopped making music, but actually bringing it to her fans live via a tour? That's something she's not sure is going to happen again.
Speaking on Apple Music's The Zane Lowe Show, Selena says that when she performs live, she feels the "passion behind every word I say." But when Zane asks her if she misses live performances, she says, "I think the only thing I genuinely miss is probably the interaction [with fans]."
"I don't know about ever performing. And I'm not going to say I would never again, because who knows? And I'm always saying 'I'll never,' and then I'm back. So I'm fully aware of my tendencies. But I do feel the connection is so strong when I'm onstage and I can actually feel the power of what my music stands for."
After speaking about how she dislikes the "performative" aspect of singing on award shows, Selena says, "I'm not sure that's something I'm willing to entertain again. However, the idea of doing, I don't know, an acoustic set or some sort of soft version, I would love to do that. I miss being with fans for sure."
As for why she moved away from performing live in the first place, Selena said the "pop star" thing was wearing a bit thin.
"[As an actress] I can dive into somebody else's world, but when you put yourself out there and it's just you, it can be a bit more frightening," she says. "And I think I was just a little tired of it."
Selena appeared on The Zane Lowe show in part to promote her new Apple Music Sound Therapy series, which features instrumental mixes of her songs blended with sound waves that are designed to either help you focus or help calm you down.
